The last book I read was Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth. I think he may be a little too rigid and serious for my taste, but there was some interesting stuff in the book.
For Christmas, I was given Water for Elephants, a work of fiction by Sara Gruen. I don't usually read fiction, especially if it isn't directly spiritual, but I really like this book! It's written from the viewpoint of a man in his nineties in a nursing home. He has so many flashbacks, he begins having trouble sorting the past from the present. He fondly remembers his adventures as a young man joining the circus due to losing his family. He recalls his first love in rich detail. I would recommend it highly. It has some very mature content, however, so it isn't for adolescents or younger kids.
