I was first ordained through the International Metaphysical Ministry in 2003. I completed an 18 month correspondence course of studies with high honors and wrote a thesis in order to be ordained, earn a metaphysical practitioner's certificate, a Bachelors and a Masters in Metaphysical Science (not an accredited degree). The laws vary from state to state, but I did perform a legal wedding in the state of Illinois, where law only requires you to be recognized by the couple you are marrying to be a minister. I now live in Missouri, where ministers must be affiliated with an already established church recognized by the state, which led me to seek ordination by the Universal Life Church because Missouri recognizes that church. Also, there is no expiration of your status or yearly affiliation fees with the ULC. My online ministry is fulfilling what I consider to be my calling: to help people learn to respect each others' beliefs and to find true peace and happiness while traveling along their individually chosen spiritual paths. The Universal spiritual laws in which I believe apply to all positive belief systems, meaning those belief systems that encourage behavior that contributes to raising consciousness for the highest good of all creation.
I also was ordained by the Church of Spiritual Humanism to cover all my bases here in Missouri legally.
I am no longer paying affiliation fees to The International Metaphysical Ministry, so I have forfeited affiliation with them and all titles associated with degrees earned through the University oif Metaphysics.
Periodically, I consider renouncing affiliation and ordination with ANY church, no matter how liberal or non-dogmatic. Religion, in my opinion can be very dangerous. It can be used as a tool to control the masses. I want no control over anyone. I only seek to help others gain a feeling of peace and sovereignty and to have compassion, respect, and love for all sentient beings.
